A pair of childhood sweethearts who were apart for 65 years have finally married after they found each other on the internet. Mary Lyness, 81, received an email from her first love John Akings, also 81, after she was given a laptop for her birthday. It was the first time the couple, who met when they were just seven, had heard from each other since they were 15 years-old.

Incredibly they rekindled their relationship.and the couple celebrated their reunion with a big wedding attended by 200 friends and family yesterday.. The ceremony took place at Keighley parish church, in West Yorkshire with the bride wore a pretty pink dress and jacket. Despite a damp start to the day, the sunshine came out to welcome the happy couple as they left the church, with delighted guests showering them in confetti.
