The old Nokia default ringtone is easily one of the most instantly recognisable mobile phone noises ever created, and although it has been tweaked a bit over the years, the tune has remained the same since its 1994 release. Nokia has decided that it’s time for a change, and has started a competition to invite users to compose a brand new ‘Nokia Tune.’ The winning entry can expect to receive up to $10,000 as well as the joy of knowing that their tune will be annoying people “over 1 billion times a day ”
Register here If you fancy having a go, register yourself over at http://nokiatune.audiodraft.com to submit your entry. Entries must be “fresh, expressive, original, creative yet distinctively a Nokia Tune” and have to be submitted by October 2, 2011.
